Why buy a pre-owned Chevrolet Equinox?

The Chevrolet Equinox has been a favourite of buyers who want an affordable and practical compact SUV for many years, and this is even more true of pre-owned models.

Many trim levels to choose from

A pre-owned Chevrolet Equinox is a good choice for a large number of buyers since many trim levels have been offered since the arrival of the current generation in 2018. This means that a pre-owned Equinox can be an entry-level L that benefits from the most popular features and a low asking price or it can be a top-of-the-line Premier that comes standard with a host of premium features such as Active Noise Cancellation, an 8-inch infotainment screen, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a WIFI hotspot. In addition, most Pre-owned Equinox models are equipped with a number of active safety features such as blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, and lane keeping assist.

Three different powertrains

A Pre-owned Chevrolet Equinox offers a large number of powertrain choices since only in the current generation, introduced in 2018, three different engines have been offered. The standard engine in the Equinox is a turbocharged 1.5L engine that delivers 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. Since 2021, this engine is the only one offered in the Equinox due to the departure of the formerly available 2.0L turbocharged engine. This powertrain generates 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Due to this higher output, it tends to be found more often under the hood of higher-trim versions. A rare option in the Equinox was the 1.6L turbo-diesel engine. This small powertrain delivers 137 horsepower and 240 lb-ft while being one of the most efficient engines in that market segment.

A high level of practicality

A Pre-owned Chevrolet Equinox is a very practical vehicle due to its interior space and the versatility of its cargo area. This means that long family trips are made more enjoyable and more comfortable for everyone on board the Equinox. With 847 litres of space in the cargo compartment, the Equinox is able to carry large items with ease and if this isn’t enough, the rear seat can be folded in sections in order to reveal up to 1,798 litres of useable space.
