The 2024 Buick Envista Gets a Closer Look

The 2024 Buick Envista is the latest luxury compact crossover to come from the storied brand, but that’s only part of the story. It falls into the small crossover category but its aggressive roofline and low-profile provide a four-door coupe effect that’s an exciting leap forward. Its aggressive profile, meanwhile, has the goal of attracting younger buyers who may be considering a move from a sedan or hatchback.

Buyers will have three trims to choose from: Preferred, Sport Touring and luxurious Avenir. Each trim gets a unique wheel choice ranging in size from 18” to 19”, with the Avenir getting a specialized Pearl Nickel finish.

Inside, the proceedings are dominated by standard flat-bottom steering wheel and 19 inches of LCD screens for your infotainment and gauge interfaces. There are 11 inches dedicated to the infotainment display, making the Envista’s display the largest in the segment.

Unique touches include Avenir and ST – shorthand for “Sport Touring” – embroidery on the headrests as well as contrast-colour seat stitching on the front and back seats, the latter of which can be folded in a 60/40 split. To keep things quiet as well as comfortable, every Envista gets Buick’s QuietTuning noise reduction tech.

Power for all three trims comes courtesy of a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine capable of an estimated 136 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. All that grunt is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission that provides added driver involvement and fuel efficiency, with a turbocharger designed to stay in the meat of the powerband for longer stretches. It may be down on size, but this engine is not down on punch.

The 2024 Buick Envista is a bold step forward for the brand, and you can be sure that it will start to turn heads as soon as it begins to arrive in Buick dealerships. Imagine what it’s going to look like out on the road or even in your driveway! There are exciting times ahead for Buick, and the Envista is the vehicle that’s starting the revolution.
