The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado is one of the most impressive full-size trucks you can buy on the market today. It features impressive towing capability and a long list of proven and powerful engines that definitely stand out. It also features a range of versions and models that can meet any need. Even more impressive is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado's interior and the advanced connectivity and safety technologies offered. Many of these technologies were introduced on the 2022 model and they carry over on the 2023 version.

Here we take a look at the improvements that were made last year to the Silverado that make the 2023 model so appealing while also taking a look at the different versions of the new Silverado so that you can determine which one is best for you.

Enhanced connectivity

We want to start by looking at the impressive connectivity features offered in the new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado. These improvements made last year create a luxurious and refined interior that is packed with technology. The new Silverado received a 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen housing the latest Google built-in infotainment system. This large screen allows you to access many of the apps that you use on a daily basis like Google Maps and Google Assistant, creating an interactive and advanced infotainment experience for Silverado owners.

Is also has a brand-new 12.3 inch diagonal driver information centre, a digital instrument cluster that provide a modern look to the Silverado while also offering all of the important information right in front of you. These new features make the Silverado one of the most connected pickups you can buy and one of the most luxurious inside.

Advanced Super Cruise self-driving technology

One of the major improvements made to the Silverado last year was the addition of the advanced self-driving Super Cruise system and the top-of-the-line High Country trim. The new Silverado High Country has the ability to drive automatically without the driver needing to put their hands on the steering wheel on nearly 400,000 km of pre-mapped roads across North America. The system will follow the road, brake for other vehicles, and when you put your turn signal on it can even change lanes automatically. Better yet, you can even use this system when you are towing. No other truck gives you this level of advanced driver assistance functionality.

Impressive 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2

Introduced last year, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 is the most capable, most off-road worthy Silverado model there is, but it is also one of the most capable trucks you can buy. The ZR2 features Multimatic DSSV dampers as well as front and rear electronic locking differentials for exceptional off-road capability. The ZR2 also looks the part with its off-road cut front bumper and large all-terrain tires. You can also get the even more impressive ZR2 Bison edition which features hot stamped boron steel skid plates as well as distinct design elements such as ATV-branded headrests and black vertical front tow hooks.

If you are looking to go off-road in your Silverado, there is not a better option than the new ZR2.

All of these changes make for one of the most impressive trucks you can buy on the market today. What is even more impressive about the 2023 Silverado is the impressive engine lineup.

2023 Chevrolet Silverado engine lineup

The Chevrolet Silverado's engine lineup is packed with power, perfect for towing heavy loads. The 2.7L turbo four-cylinder gas engine delivers 310 HP and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, allowing it to tow up to 9,500 lbs. For even more strength, the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 produces 355 HP and 383 lb.-ft. of torque while offering a towing capacity of 11,500 lbs. Furthermore, the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 comes with an impressive 420 HP and 460 lb.-ft. of torque - enough to tow 13,300 lbs. Finally, the 3.0L Duramax turbodiesel I6 offers 305 HP and a hefty 495 lb.-ft., all while delivering an impressive 13,300 lbs in towing capacity as well.
