2022 Chevrolet Silverado and 2022 Chevrolet Silverado Limited: What Are the Differences?

A long-time favorite among working drivers, truck enthusiasts, and families, the Chevrolet Silverado offers more choices and excitement for 2022. The refreshed 2022 Silverado moves forward with new equipment and a new, all-terrain ZR2 trim opens up new adventures. The 2022 Silverado LTD is also available this model year, offering yet another option.

Here, we explore the differences between the refreshed 2022 Silverado and 2022 Silverado LTD.

Basic differences between the 2022 Silverado and 2022 Silverado LTD

The refreshed Silverado arrives with new design features. This includes a redesigned cabin, whereas the LTD retains a more traditional interior. However, interior equipment is similar between both models.

Although the LTD offers an outstanding safety assistance package, the refreshed Silverado adds more safety tech, including Chevy Assist. The LTD has a starting MSRP of $32,648, which is noticeable from the refreshed Silverado's

entry MSRP of $37,448. As a matter of fact, each of the Silverado LTD's trims come in at a lower MSRP compared to their Silverado counterparts.

Overall, the Silverado LTD is a great option if you aren't interested in the refreshed features of the standard 2022 Silverado, and the base price reflects it.

Trim level difference between 2022 Silverado and 2022 Silverado LTD

Although both models offer plenty of trim options, there are a few differences. The Silverado LTD trims include WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, and High Country. The refreshed Silverado includes all of the previous levels but adds the new ZR2.

The ZR2 provides an entirely new dimension to Silverado off-roading. The new package of interior and exterior features improve performance and upgrade capability. From 33-inch mud tires to off-road body contours, you will be right at home on the trails.

The 2022 Silverado and Silverado LTD have a powertrain difference

Both models offer outstanding engine options, including the reliable 5.3L V8 and a 6.2L V8. The differences appear between the 2.7L Turbo and the 3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel. The 2.7L Turbo outputs 310 horsepower in both models, but torque in the LTD is 348 lb-ft while the refreshed Silverado upgrades to 430 lb-ft–which is a best-in-class achievement.

Overall, the 2022 Silverado and 2022 Silverado LTD offer two outstanding lineups that satisfy many important needs. Visit our dealership to learn more. You can also shop for your truck online with us, our representatives await your call and can answer all your questions.
